360° indoor LED downlight
1. Features of downlights:
Downlights are generally embedded in the ceiling, and the light is concentrated downward. It has a screw lamp base, which can be directly installed with incandescent lamps or energy-saving lamps.
Because the downlight is hidden, no matter how it is installed, it will not destroy the artistic effect of the ceiling, and it can be perfectly combined with architectural decoration. Its light is concentrated downward, and it can be equipped with different reflectors, lenses, and bulbs to achieve different light effects.
The light of the downlight is very soft, which can make the whole space more warm, so you can install a few more downlights in the home decoration to create a warm home atmosphere, and you can use it in any place that needs lighting.
2. The material of the downlight
Downlight cover materials include iron surface, pure aluminum, die-casting, etc. Generally speaking, the price of iron surface material is relatively cheap. Although pure aluminum and die-casting materials are more expensive, they are durable. It is recommended to use a surface cover that is not easy to rust for the downlight of home decoration. The lamp holder of the downlight is very important, and the main material of the lamp holder is ceramic.
The most important thing is the reed inside. It is divided into two types: copper and aluminum. Most good brands use aluminum. In order to enhance contact, springs are installed under the contact points. In addition, a good brand uses three wires for the power cord of the lamp head, which is safer.
3. Size selection of downlights
Generally, downlights are divided into large (5 inches), medium (4 inches) and small (2.5 inches). The downlights of suitable size are determined and selected according to the height of the ceiling and the size of the space.
4. Application of downlights in home lighting
Observe the material of the reflector. Generally, reflective cups are divided into sand cups and light cups. They are made of aluminum that will not change color to achieve good reflectivity. However, some small manufacturers will use plastic spraying to make it. At the
beginning, there is no difference, but it will become darker or even black after a long time. We can judge whether the aluminum material is used by looking at the uniformity of the cutting place. The aluminum material is cut flat, and the plastic spraying is the opposite.
5. Precautions when installing downlights:
(1) Whether it is a downlight or a spotlight, do not install it too close to the wall, because the heat generated will make the wall yellow.
(2) Do not install it on some flammable materials, which is very likely to cause a fire. If it is installed on a plate, you need to take some heat insulation measures to improve safety.
