2、 Installation knowledge of LED light strip
2.1 Indoor installation of flexible light strip
When the LED light strip is used for indoor decoration, it does not have to withstand wind and rain, so the installation is very simple. Before installation, please clean the sundries on the installation surface to ensure that the surface is clean. The back of each LED light strip is pasted with 3M self-adhesive double-sided adhesive tape. During installation, the sticker on the surface of 3M double-sided adhesive tape can be directly removed, and then the light strip can be fixed at the place where it needs to be installed, and it can be pressed flat by hand. As for the corner or length required in some places, the redundant light strip can be cut off at the scissors (LED light strip is a circuit structure composed of three LEDs in series and parallel, and every three LEDs can be cut off for separate use.)
2.2 Outdoor installation of flexible light strip
In order to ensure the life and safety of the product, the selected product needs to use outdoor protective light strip according to the environmental requirements. Before installation, the protective performance of the product should be determined. As outdoor installation will be exposed to wind and rain, if 3M glue is used for fixing, the 3M adhesive will be reduced for a long time, which will cause the LED light strip to fall off. Therefore, the outdoor installation usually adopts the card slot fixing method. The method of shearing and connection is the same as that of indoor installation. In addition, waterproof glue is also required to be equipped to consolidate the waterproof effect of the connection point.
2.3 Power connection method
The general voltage of LED light strip is 12V DC, so it needs to use switching power supply. The power supply size depends on the power and connection length of LED light strip. If you do not want each LED light strip to be controlled by a power supply, you can purchase a high power switching power supply as the main power supply, and then connect all the input power supplies of LED light strips in parallel (if the wire size is not enough, it can be extended separately), and uniformly use the main switching power supply for power supply. The advantage of this is that it can be centrally controlled. The inconvenient place is that it is not possible to achieve the lighting effect and switch control of a single LED light strip. The specific method can be measured by yourself.
2.4 Connection mode of controller
LED racing light belt and RGB colorful light belt need to use controllers to achieve the changing effect. The control distance of each controller is different. Generally speaking, the control distance of simple controller is 10 to 15 meters, and the control distance of remote controller is 15 to 20 meters, and the maximum distance can be 30 meters. If the connection distance of the LED light strip is long, and the controller cannot control that long light strip, then the power amplifier needs to be used for tapping.
2.5 Pay attention to the connection distance of LED light strip
Generally speaking, the maximum connection distance of 3528 series LED light strips is 20 meters, and that of 5050 series LED light strips is 15 meters. If the connection distance is exceeded, the LED light strip is easy to heat up, which will affect the service life of the LED light strip during use. Therefore, the installation must be carried out according to the requirements of the manufacturer, and the LED lamp must not be overloaded.
3、 Little knowledge of LED light strip
Each light strip has a "scissors" mark, which can only be cut off when the mark is cut, and the wrong or deviated cutting will result in one meter off! It is better to carefully look at the position of the mark before, and cut it according to the position that is not connected in the middle
Each lamp belt must be equipped with a special plug (plug with transformer); When connecting, be sure to remove the transparent plastic cover plate and cover it after connecting the test lamp. Never connect directly with a cover, because it is easy to short circuit!
When installing the lamp belt, it is usually placed in the lamp slot and can be straightened, or it can be fixed with string or wire. If external or vertical installation is required, clip and tail plug shall be purchased separately. The original clip is completely transparent. It is better to apply waterproof glass glue on the tail plug and plug after installation to improve the waterproof performance.
